Hills on Mars Dimensional Felted Wall Art

In this abstract work of contemporary fiber art, the sinous lines and mix of cool green and hot pink made me think of Mars, terraformed. This unique piece measures 16.5" in diameter, with a variable depth up to 4.5". 
 
I started by making a thick, laminated wet-felted wool in many colors. Then I created a dimensional surface using papier maché over a hardwood panel. Finally, I cut, carved, and reassembled the handmade wool felt, mounting it onto the panel.
 
This work comes ready to hang, with D-Rings and picture wire installed. My signature is on the back of the panel, and I include a certificate of authenticity with your purchase.
 
Shipping and Returns
 
Once your purchase is complete, I will carefully pack and prepare your new art for shipping. All work sold during this special holiday drop will be shipped Priority Mail by Dec. 16th in order to arrive by Dec. 24th within the lower 48 US states. You will receive an email confirmation and tracking info when I have shipped your order. Shipping is free in the US. Rates to other destinations will be calculated at checkout, or email me with any questions if you need special shipping arrangements.
